Ready to have a lil princess of my own!
[love me for who I am]
Bavaria is almost like a country in itself which holds to much of what is known as the traditions of Germany. While Bavaria maintains a lot of its ties to the past, in other parts of Germany you will experience modernism in architecture, shopping, dining, fashion and culture. I love so many sensibilities that I find here that I find absent in the US. For instance the windows here tilt inwards to allow fresh air to come in while preventing the rain to come in. Recycling is a way of life and enforced by law. Everyone is active, even old people ride bicycles and hike the mountains. This is a place where there is a focus on well being and family. People here work to live, instead of living to work as you will find common in the US. I do find the Germans to be proud and sometimes even arrogant, but I haven’t experienced any conflicts because of it. Drinking here is a way of life. Even the most petite women will throw back shots that will make hair grow on your chest. There isn’t much diversity so I catch people staring at me without shame every where I go. I enjoy how close Austria, Italy, and the Czech Republic are, which all have made excellent weekend trips so far. Overall I’m looking forward to the next three years of exploring and discovering my new home!
Enjoying this view of the Bavarian Alps from my balcony on this hot summer day in Germany!

We had went to a house party to watch the game with German friends and the entire neighborhood went wild! Everyone is still flying their Deutschland flags. A lot of places offered free drinks on the house too!
